2024 CERTIFICATON OF ELECTION

Pursuant to the Fund’s Election Rules, the current Election Committee of the Laborers' and Retirement Board Employees' Annuity and Benefit Fund of Chicago (LABF), has the authority to certify the election for one (1) Active Employee Trustee of the Retirement Board in the election which was to have been held on October 10, 2024. The Election Committee confirms that Thomas Crivellone was the sole petitioner for the election and ran unopposed and is declared the Active Employee Trustee.

In accordance with state law, the term of one of the trustees representing the Fund’s active employees expires December 1, 2024. On October 10, 2024, an election will be held to select a representative for this position for a term beginning December 2, 2024, and ending December 1, 2027. New Executive Director at LABF

Following a competitive search, the Retirement Board of the Laborers’ and Retirement Board Employees’ Annuity and Benefit Fund of Chicago (LABF) is pleased to announce that Cameron Mock has been hired as Executive Director for the Fund. Second Mailing - Signature Verification Form: Due 7/15

The LABF mailed a second mailing of the 2024 Signature Forms on June 11th. These final forms are due back to the LABF by July 15th to avoid suspension of monthly annuity payments. If you need a replacement form or if you have any questions, please call 312-236-2065. Thank you.

The LABF requires that its annuitants submit a signature verification form. The 2024 Signature Verification Forms were mailed on April 24, 2024. The forms must be signed by the annuitant, or his or her legal agent, in the presence of a notary and notarized. If you are an annuitant, please be reminded that the completed form must be returned to the LABF by May 31st to avoid interruption of annuity benefits.
